Having appeared on Platipus compilations Art Of Chill 2 and The Big Freeze Vol 1, Bliss seemed the natural choice to compile the next Big Freeze instalment.

The musical world of Bliss is deeply rooted in a blend of Western, African and Classical musical influences representing the vast musical backgrounds of both members respectively. It also showcases an undercurrent of apparent melancholy with warmth that is otherwise hard to describe in words...

Steffen Aaskoven produced the classic chill out anthem “Café Del Mar” by Mental Generation, which featured an Underworld remix. He then met classically trained Marc-George Andersen in 1995 and together they formed Bliss.

Since releasing their debut album ‘Afterlife’ in 2001 they released two further albums; ‘Quiet Letters’ and ‘They Made History’ with various Bliss tracks appearing on nearly 60 compilations worldwide. Lately they have expanded their musical scope and have been producing music for TV such as CSI whilst continuing to remix artists they respect and admire.

The tracks they have chosen to include on Big Freeze Volume 2 highlight their diverse musical tastes.
