Slyde present a mixed up, multi-level sound with their debut album.

Slyde’s influences span hip hop, rave, big beat and electrifying break beats, and their album fully engages their combined lifetime experiences of live rock venues and sweaty nightclubs. ‘Everyone’s Entitled To Our Opinion’ opens with the infectious club smash ‘Vibrate To This’, featuring the vocals of Jamaica’s dancehall Queen Lady Posh, shortly followed by the booty shakin’ flavour she injects into ‘Kiss Kiss Bang’ and ‘Blow That Stack’ a hip hop paced and Indian laced number.

Katty Heath (from Bent) adds soaring melodies over the pop friendly ‘You’re My Fix’ as well as the Numan-esque ‘Frequency’, whilst MC Chaz G, previously the front man of hip hop act The Method, stays true to form with his frenzied electric delivery of ‘F**k The Landlord’.

The Slyde boys (aka ‘Backstage Sluts’) come from excellent musical stock: as a producer and remixer Robin has worked with the likes of Moloko, Jean Jacques Smoothie and Shirley Bassey, whilst Jason, originally signed to Big Life, got on the controls of De La Soul and Naughty By Nature. The duo have also collaborated with Keith Flint of The Prodigy, on ‘Clever Brains Fryin’.
