Think D.I.Y. or Lost My Dog Records, think gutsy little house label with attitude and you will be on your way to understanding the sound laid down here by the Derbyshire duo of Ant Plate and the ludicrously aptly named Matt Rhythm. Lots of jittering and jumpy beats, deep, deep grooves, dangerous levels of funk, most notably on the bullish ‘Fine Line Remix’. Unbeatable value, with four killer cuts to pick and choose from, all of which will destroy your floor. Look out for the distinctive artwork on the packaging too, this release looks good as well as sounding good.
