Following the groundbreaking success of ‘Plump Night Out’, ‘Eargasm’ and ‘Saturday Night Lotion’ the Plump DJs return with their heavily guarded and hugely-anticipated new album ‘Headthrash!’.

Over the course of seventeen acclaimed singles and three superlative albums, Plump DJs (aka Andy Gardner and Lee Rous) have established themselves as heavyweights of cutting edge club music. Despite an ever-changing musical landscape they have stayed true to their own sound, which brims with energy, creativity, innovation and originality. Having embraced the art of songwriting on ‘Headthrash!’ and collaborated with a host of talents, a diverse collection has been created: from the low slung, bass driven, guitar synth workout that is ‘He Got Beef’ to the disco-tastic ‘Theme X’, through to the melancholy vocal allure of Passenger on ‘Torque of the Devil’.

The first single was ‘System Addict’, a dancefloor smash of beast beats and churning bass that went on towin ‘Best Single’ at Breakspoll 2008 and claimed the number 1 spot here on DJdownload.

‘Shifting Gears’, the first song on the album to use a full vocal, features the sweet melodic voice of UK artist Niara, perfectly complimented by US rapper Raphael Lamotta’s peak time style. ‘Disco Unusual’, keeps the tempo up with a series of knocking percussion and high strings, which step their way to a soaring peak time euphoric high. ‘Victim’ is a vocal collaboration with Sharlene Hector. An eerie backing track with a slower tempo makes this a departure from the tougher and more funk driven tracks.

Plump DJs embark on a massive tour this summer, including appearances at all of the big festivals.
