Danish-born Lennart grew up in Belgium but went to the white isle of Ibiza back in 1990. While holding a slave-like job in the west-end of San Antonio, he swore to return to Ibiza to live from music-orientated work or die trying. In 1995, he succeeded in doing just that: delivering an ear-deafening techno-trance set for the Space closing. He ripped up his return ticket and swore never to leave the island (and didn't for another 4 years!) In 1997 he started Ibizarre Records and released the first Ambient Collection and three years later signed a deal with label Waner Music.

The funny thing was that was that Warner wanted the name Lenny Ibizarre on the deal, a name that Lennart had never used (in fact it was coined by Rob da Bank for Muzik Magazine and caught on). Today he reserves Mr. Ibizarre for his DJ appearances and composes under his birth name.

He has collaborated with just about everybody on the island and most of the regular visiting artists. He has held residencies at Pacha, Amnesia, Café Del Mar, Mambo, El Divino, Kumharas and the local radios. He plays regularly at the opening and closing of Space and toured the world. His preference though is playing to intimate crowds of Friends from the North of Ibiza.

He recently mixed the cover CD for DJmag's 10th anniversary in Ibiza issue and it was one of the best-received covers of the year.

This, his latest album represents his present state of mind and the full stretch of his music imagination and is a celebration of the 10 years he has spent on Ibiza. The album is a fully-fledged Balearic journey from tranquil ambient through electronic grooves all the way to full-tilt tech trance and back again.
