Album Details

In 2002 she wrote a song called "Miracles Just Might" with writers/producers SWAG. It didn't make the SWAG album so Kathy raised the money and released it herself on white label. The reviews were excellent and within a month "Sunshine” was released on the COTTAGE label.
Again, the reviews were great. Shortly after, Kathy concentrated on writing a collection of songs in preparation for a solo career, and with the help of respected DJ / producer Maurice Fulton, delivers the funky basslines and edgy electronica of her debut album “Miss Diamond to You”.
On tracks such as 'All Woman' the album's heart seems to be in the heyday of early to mid '80s New York club culture - the time when disco went back under the radar to its black gay roots, soon to be reborn later as house music. You can indeed hear endearing musical references to cult classics such as Gwen Guthrie's 'Seventh Heaven'.
Miss Diamond delivers a sparkling debut with some lovely songs on a groovy electronic disco album.
