Greg Churchill
Shock Rocket

Mix: [Original]
Label: Gung-Ho! Recordings
Date: 21.11.06
Play Length: 06:26

Greg Churchill’s second release for Gung Ho! – 'The Shock Rocket EP' is an electronic, techy three-track EP, already supported by James Zabiela, Hernan Cattaneo, Mike Monday, Arthur Baker, Mylo, John Digweed, Gusgus… The list goes on. This is Arguably The Best thing he has Done. This is a taster of things to come from His debut artist album in 2007 on Gung-Ho! The Title track is much lighter than the usual but still possesses his trademark quirks! Along with remixing the New Gusgus Single 'Moss' – things are looking good. Greg Churchill’s first EP 'The Budonkadonk EP' was released in 2003 on Darren Emerson’s Underwater imprint. He followed with releases 'Infused Trash' and 'Body Slander'. In 2005, Churchill signed to Gung Ho with his release 'Lesser Meaning'... The single picked up the pace for Churchill’s profile, in the UK especially, and he was asked to mix the first of the 'It’s only a Mixtape' series for Ministry of Sound Recordings, released in April 2006. Greg Churchill has stood as one of New Zealand’s premier homebred DJs for almost 20 years. He currently hosts a radio show on NZ’s ‘George FM’ entitled ‘Aural Trash’-bringing the most underground dance music from around the world to New Zealand’s ears. Churchill has also been voted DJ of the year five times and has picked up two of New Zealand’s most prestigious awards the ‘BNet Award’.
