Stompa Phunk Music encompasses the work of the resident DJ’s and Artists that perform at the acclaimed Stompa Phunk club night at Audio in Brighton. The releases are basically a slice of the dancefloor pressed onto vinyl.

The label was created by David Parr (then known as Void) in 1999 to support and provide an outlet for fellow electro and tech-house heads such as Serge Santiago and Ben Burns. Shortly after, SP Music was created as a sister label and would be more live act orientated, this coinciding with the signing of Mula and Bullitt Catcher.

Stompa Phunk Music is now known as a precursor in the genres of cutting edge electro and tech-house. Some of the productions have been graced by the remix talents of Random Factor, Ralph Lawson, Meat Katie, Cagedbaby, Bushy and Radioslave. SP Music has just released a third Mula single with David Duriez and David Parr mixes. The next instalment of eleven Stompa Phunk records has also begun with Ben Burns’ track entitled “The Answer” featuring Silicone Soul and David Parr remixes on the flipside and Bushy’s “Ping” with a Serge Santiago mix to boot.
