Nascent Recordings was founded in May 2001 by Neil Evans & Ross Haswell as a natural progression from their interest in progressive house music and culture.

Ross has been djing for seven years at various clubs in England and North America, following on from this interest he decided to take it a step further with his close friend Neil who ran his own independent record shop. Together they thought with their knowledge and ideas, that they could establish the label as a leading purveyor of quality progressive house.

With this they decided to go all out and make the label top priority, since then they have been receiving demos from producers based as for away as Argentina, Australia, Slovakia and the U.S. Who have already signed exclusive tracks and are currently in the studio working on new releases and remixes.

Since their first release they have had support from leading djs, John Creamer & Stephane K, Lee Burridge, Anthony Pappa, Trendroid, Saeed & Palash, Barry Gilbey, Satoshi Tomiie, Gene Carbonell, John Digweed, Chris Fortier, Sander Klienenberg and Deep Dish.
