Label - Data Records

Label Bio

If you’ve turned on your radio, lost it on a club dance floor, purchased a dance compilation or watched a video channel in the last 7 years, then chances are you’ve been listening to a tune from Data Records.

What began life as an opportunist idea for an embryonic “feeder” label has since grown into the headline label of the UK’s top independent record company, spawning numerous No.1 chart and airplay hits, credible crossover tracks and quirky videos that have united a nation.

Regardless of musical persuasion, Data has time and again achieved the rare feat of crossing over into the Top 5 some of the most unlikely of music – think 'Zombie Nation' (the first ever electro-clash hit?), 'Storm' (the hardest ever record in the Top 5?), Benny Benassi (just plain weird), or Eric Prydz' looped-up genre-defining smash. Whilst doing so they have supplied a nation with some of its most adored visual distraction and firmly ingrained a Data Records track in its musical memory.

It looks likely to continue to do so with some of the best ears in the business bringing you some of the best that dance music has to offer. Watch this space.
